Mask Group 9 About Liberty Ministries Church

Faith, Service, and Compassion Since 1990

Founded in 1990 by Reverend Charles Douglas and Mother Gloria Douglas, Liberty Ministries Church began with a simple but powerful vision:

“To administer help to people however and whenever it is needed.”

What began as small gatherings in Reverend Douglas’s home has grown into a vibrant, non-denominational church serving both local and international communities.

Over the years, the ministry has expanded beyond worship into programs that support the practical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the community.

Our Founding Story

Reverend Charles Douglas first began hosting services in his home, nurturing a small but faithful congregation with a heart for service and spiritual growth. His leadership led to the establishment of Liberty Ministries Church, where he served as Senior Pastor and developed long-lasting ministry relationships—particularly in Africa, including ministry work in Kampala, Uganda, captured in this video in 2006.

When health circumstances required him to step back, his son, Pastor Jason Douglas, embraced the mission and expanded the church’s outreach and impact.

Today, Liberty Ministries Church stands as a beacon of faith, compassion, and hope in South Bend and beyond.
